We are looking for a dedicated, charismatic and highly motivated person who will lead, and make a distinctive contribution to, this hard working and successful department. The person appointed will teach English Language and Literature across the age and ability range, up to and including GCSE level.
To start as soon as possible, although we would be prepared to wait until September 2015 in order to appoint the right candidate. The school was graded outstanding, across all disciplines, at the last Ofsted.

Holmfirth High School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. At its most recent inspection, there were 1,318 students aged 11-16 on the school roll. It is a specialist school in maths, computing and Applied Learning.
The town of Holmfirth has a population of approximately 5,000 and is located six miles south of Huddersfield. Holmfirth High School is situated next to Hey Days Nursery and Holmfirth Sports Centre.

Holmfirth High School believes that, fundamentally, all schools are places of learning. It wants pupils to leave having achieved to the very best of their ability. However, the school believes personal development is as important as academic achievement. Teachers want pupils to grow into well-rounded, decent young people who are eager to build upon the vast range of experiences offered to them, in and out of the classroom.
