The School

The GEMS Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi (GCIA) opened in September 2013. Currently we are FS1 to Year 9 and set to grow to Year 13, with an overall NOR of 3400 students, in subsequent years. Students follow the English National Curriculum and Cambridge International Examinations syllabus for IGCSE and A Level Programmes of study. The language of instruction is English. We offer a full, broad and balanced range of learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

The Post: Head of English

We are looking for an outstanding Head of English to join our team from January 2015.

Applicants will be fully qualified teachers with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team. Applicants will have experience teaching A-Level or equivalent.

To be considered for this post you must hold a B.Ed or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.

The GEMS Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi (GCISAD) will open in September 2013. We at GEMS and GCISAD are fully committed to building upon the excellent academic reputations of our sister schools, The Cambridge High School, Abu Dhabi and The Cambridge International School, Dubai, to provide an outstanding education for all of our students.

In September 2013, we open the doors to an extensive new school campus, situated near to the Mafraq Hospital on the Mohammed Bin Zayed City/Khalifa B and C boarders.
