About the Company:

Learning Partnership West (LPW) is an innovative Community Interest Com-pany with a key focus of providing support for vul-nerable children and young people in the West of Eng-land area. We have a long and successful history span-ning some 30 years support-ing and enabling individuals to achieve their full poten-tial through creative meth-ods of learning. We work with individuals, families, schools, colleges, Local Au-thorities, training providers and employers.
Our work is undertaken through networks of profes-sionals who deliver services at grass roots level linking with statutory, voluntary and community sectors. CIC status focuses on supporting communities it recognises our previous work and achievements as well as our current focus on the Gov-ernment's new vision for supporting young people and adults from a range of backgrounds.

About the Role:

Learning Partnership West is looking for a dynamic indi-vidual who is has clear vi-sions on developing learning and has the drive and de-termination to continue our journey of providing ser-vices to support children and young people to reach their true potential. You will be passionate about learning and inspiring staff to be the same within an executive management role and will support staff within the or-ganisation to deliver learn-ing to LPW standards. You will have an innovative ap-proach to how learning should be delivered and you will have a responsibility to ensure that LPW continues to push at the edge of the emerging learning practices and technologies.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of delivering innovative and effective learning to young people.
  • A degree level qualifica-tion or equivalent and a relevant teaching/training qualification.
  • Substantial experience with an organisation that has delivered services to children and young people either directly or through contract.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant senior management experience. Will be able to work with executive team to create a strategy for learn-ing and development within LPW.
  • Operated as part of an ef-fective leadership team and have a proven track record working within challenging, fast paced environments.
  • Experience of managing significant budgets and con-tracts.

LPW Summary

In the past year, LPW as a community-interest-company responsible for running other contracts, has placed 162 Bristol-based young people into employment, education and training. Of these, 40% were placed within two months of their first contact with us. Through our drop-in centres, LPW has also helped many children and young people (CYP) who have come to us for advice on training, employment, housing support and other personal issues. We are excited by the work we do and love to talk about it.
