Darton College is a successful 11-16 school which serves the communities of Darton and Kexborough and is within easy reach of Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas, located minutes from J38 of the M1. The appointment of our new Principal Kate Davies will see the next stage in Darton's journey to becoming an innovative and exceptional learning centred school. We have also recently recruited new maths practitioners within the department, owing to post holders securing promotions elsewhere. Therefore, this is a unique opportunity for an aspiring and ambitious practitioner to work with new and experienced staff who are looking for an inspirational leader.
You will be:
- An exceptional and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics with the knowledge and expertise to further develop the strategic leadership within the department
- A teacher who is looking for a role that can offer innovation and autonomy, sharing best practice both within mathematics, across school and opportunities to share practice in a wider field.
- Inspirational to colleagues and students -sharing best practice
- Experienced practitioners from both Primary and Secondary sectors, with upper Key Stage 2 experience being advantageous for this role if you are from a Primary setting
