Description
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park Campus is located on a lush, green 20 acre site with excellent facilities. The school provides opportunities for students to join either Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE IGCSE) or Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum) and caters for children from 3 years of age to 17 years of age. 

We offer a rich, quality education with affordable fees. The school caters for the children of expatriates working and living in Malaysia and for those Malaysian children who qualify to attend an International school. The student population comprising 30 different nationalities is approximately 1900, with 1300 attending the international school, 550 of which in secondary. Our teaching staff are both expatriate and Malaysian.

Our approach is individual - we strive for every student to stretch themselves beyond their potential and in doing so we reflect our vision of 'A united world at peace... through education'.

The school is about to have a Council of International Schools (CIS) Preliminary Visit and aims to be able begin its CIS Self-Study in September 2014.

Memberships & Affiliations
We are a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a centre for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), an Eco School Bronze Award holder and are authorised to deliver the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).


The Role
We invite dedicated and suitably qualified candidates who possess the following to join us as Head of Mathematics to oversee and ensure the developing of teaching and learning of Mathematics across the whole school.

  • The ability to inspire, challenge, support and empower students and colleagues towards excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relationships across the school community
  • Creating regular opportunities for teachers to share, reflect and improve on classroom practice
  • Overseeing the development of a progressive and challenging curriculum
  • Knowledge of the CIS Accreditation process would be an advantage.

Contract
This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end.

Interviews
Initial interviews will be completed through Skype. Final candidates will be invited to attend a panel interview at the school prior to the final decision being taken.
