Brand-new, six form entry, mixed 11-18 comprehensive in Redbridge.


In September 2012 Isaac Newton Academy will open with its inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students. The school will grow, year on year, to become an 11-18 academy of 1250 students with specialist status in mathematics and music.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher and leader of PE who shares our belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting, and who has a passion for enthusing students to participate in extra-curricular sports activities. This is a rare opportunity to be centrally involved in establishing an outstanding school from its beginning. The role is suited to an exceptional teacher of PE ready to progress to a middle leadership role or an experienced middle leader with an impressive track record of success.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • be centrally involved in the evolution of Isaac Newton Academy
  • lead on the design and development of the PE curriculum
  • create their own departmental team, working in state-of-the-art sports areas
  • join the ARK Schools network, with comprehensive CPD provision.
