Located in the heart of Dubai in a developing residential community, Hartland’s unique vantage point is the iconic landmark of the Burj Khalifa and the downtown business and financial area of the city. Hartland International School is in its seventh year of operation and is already an established name on the educational landscape of Dubai.

Our student body consists of just over 1,600 students from over 100 nationalities, making Hartland a truly international community where a strong blend of academic challenge, enrichment opportunities and pastoral support for all, targets and inspires excellence. All that we do is underpinned by a values-based family community of teachers, children and parents providing the best possible education for every child in our care.

We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage programme, followed by the National Curriculum for England across primary and Key Stage 3, with a full and wide range of GCSEs and A Levels in the upper secondary. The school is an accredited COBIS member, has received The Challenge Award from NACE and is a member of BSME.

Specialist subject teachers across all year groups

Hartland opens pathways to learn from specialist subject teachers such as art, design and technology, computing, languages and music across the primary phase of the school. This enriches the learning experience for each child and ensures that the secondary transition is seamless.

Exclusive performing arts curriculum

We are committed to the delivery of the arts across our curriculum and believe that it has a crucial place in the timetable. With specialist teachers delivering Drama and Music across the primary phase, and with external specialist partnerships for Dance and instrumental lessons, we offer a unique access to our children to experiment with expression through the arts. Our curriculum philosophy supports our aim to unleash a child’s potential through expression and creativity helping build confidence and social skills necessary for future success.

Unique language immersion programme

To help students shape, retain and connect with the world, Hartland offers multiple language learning opportunities with a unique language immersion programme and an option to choose from 4 languages in the primary phase: Spanish, French, German and Mandarin. In Year 7, we add Italian to the language options available.

Commitment to digital innovation

Embedding digital technology into the classroom to inspire creativity, collaboration, sharing and innovation is a key component of the core curriculum. With Computing and Computational Thinking delivered from Year 3, providing the right environment that will encourage innovated thinking is an intrinsic part of our philosophy. A BYOD Policy operates also from Year 5.

State-of-the-art facilities

A purpose-built campus with smaller class sizes and specialised learning spaces encourages students to thrive academically, physically, socially and creatively. Our 650 seat professional theatre provides a platform for our students and our community and whether through our LAMDA courses or our musical performances, this space allows all children to use and access state of the art facilities through their normal everyday learning.

A high level of challenge and support to fit a wide variety of learning styles is a non-negotiable as we expertly build the knowledge foundation that students need with our holistic approach to education. We aim at all times to ignite a passion for learning through intellectual challenge, innovative approaches to both learning and teaching and a stimulating enrichment programme beyond the confines of the classroom.

Our commitment to sport and fitness is thriving and our facilities ensure that all interests are catered for. With over 160 different enrichment opportunities every week, whether a child’s passion lies in rugby, football, netball, rounders, karate, yoga, skiing, swimming or sailing, there will be a sport that fits their profile. This is reflected in our student, staff and parent wellbeing programme and all are welcome to participate.
