Are you the exceptional Head Teacher we are looking for to further develop our growing Primary School?

Tenby International School, Miri moved into our new purpose-built campus in September 2013 with a Primary school roll of 155 in September 2013 to 180 at the start of this term.  Tenby Miri is a cross-phase school with a small but developing secondary school.  Miri is a small city on the coast of Sarawak in Borneo with a recent history based on oil and gas but also with tropical forests and glistening sea.

The new Head of Primary will be responsible for developments in the delivery of the curriculum, raising standards and enhancing teaching and learning; building on the strengths our pupils currently benefit from and identifying areas for review together with the regular day-to-day issues of running a dynamic primary school.  As much of the learning is arranged through the International Primary Curriculum it would be an advantage if applicants had experience of this programme.

The successful applicant will join the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Secondary, the Bursar and the Principal in setting strategic targets and school-wide strategies and philosophy.

This is a two-year contract in the first instance; however continuity and stability in leadership posts are important and we will be seeking to appoint candidates who have the expectation of remaining in post for a period of four to five years.
