With over 21,000 students, including over 1,700 on Higher Education programmes, The Grimsby Institute Group operates from 15 locations and serves a wide geographical area stretching from the coastal towns of Scarborough in the north to Skegness in the south and inland to the market town of Louth.

In 2013 we were validated by Ofsted as a "good" college with outstanding features. We now want to take the next steps towards excellence. The Grimsby Institute require key senior staff to assist us with our drive to reach outstanding. These posts are an ideal platform for experienced, passionate and values-driven leaders who aspire to work with an SMT which always puts learners first and is committed to delivering excellence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the area of Arts and Media in a newly refurbished and purpose built Arts Centre. The post holder will manage a wide range of courses at both FE and HE levels across the art, design, music, performing arts and media disciplines.

Values and Vision

The Grimsby Institute Group aims to put students first by delivering an excellent and accessible education, always focused on the raising of standards. They want to inspire learners by being creative and innovative. The university centre believes effective and productive partnerships will maximise benefits for learners and local communities. Supporting and valuing colleagues in a culture of respect and teamwork is also a high priority. The centre wants its students to feel they can easily approach staff about their problems, which could include bullying, accommodation problems, abuse (in any of its forms) or self-harm.

Ofsted report

“Teachers have successfully established very good working relationships with their students that foster positive attitudes to learning and high expectations. In lessons, teachers carefully explain the topics they are covering and plan activities skilfully to engage interest. Students work well in groups and collaborate effectively. Constructive discussions help develop communication skills and teamwork. Vocational subject teachers use examples from their industrial experience to contextualise learning and help students to understand the significance of their studies for their future careers.”
