RACC is a further education college, with a mainly adult mission, dedicated to helping learners unlock their talent through a wide range of vocational and personal development activities. We are based in the heart of Richmond, and we are in the final stages of an exciting capital project which will be ready this autumn.

Reporting to the Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, we are looking for an experienced and innovative manager to develop our School of Humanities and Performing Arts, and provide inspirational leadership and management to create an outstanding resource for learners and our local communities.

As Head of School, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a vibrant programme of courses and activities in drama, dance and music, to be delivered in our brand new theatre and studio spaces. You will ensure that there are exciting options available for all our communities, including accredited 16-18 Study Programmes, vocational courses for people wishing to work in these industries, courses for adult learners with learning difficulties or disabilities, and a wide range of leisure, enrichment and personal development activities.

You will have a track record of securing rapid improvements to quality, and hold a professional teaching qualification, a degree (or equivalent). You will also have experience of managing staff and an excellent teaching record with evidence of CPD and a passion for facilitating learning.
