Term - Initially Two Years

The Royal School for the Blind, Liverpool is an incorporated, registered Charity founded in 1791 and managed by a Committee of Management and its Chief Executive Officer.

The Committee delegates the duties of government of the School to a Governing Body to which the successful candidate is accountable.

We are Looking for a Head of School
The School is currently exploring the opportunities for expansion provided by The Children and Families Act 2014 and wishes to appoint, for an initial period of two years, a Head of School possessing the experience, vision and enthusiastic commitment to develop and extend the provision currently available at this outstanding (Ofsted) non-maintained day and residential special school for pupils and young adults with visual impairment and learning difficulties.

The successful applicant will have extensive teaching and some management experience within Special Education and can demonstrate a commitment to maximising opportunities for pupils and young adults to achieve their full potential.
