Rupert House is a highly achieving successful IAPS day school, situated on the outskirts of Henley-on-Thames. We cater for boys aged 3-7 and girls aged 3-11. We have small classes, well-motivated pupils and supportive parents.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Head of Science. The role of Director of Studies will be available to the right candidate. We are looking for someone who has:

  • The ability to motivate and enthuse pupils
  • A clear sense of purpose and high expectations
  • A good Honours degree in a Science subject(s)
  • Experience in teaching Science to children in Key Stage 2
  • Understanding of the demands of Common Entrance at 11+
  • Experience in managing colleagues at departmental level, or above, in the preparatory school system
  • Competence and experience with the use of ICT in schools
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • The desire to work as part of a team
  • A willingness to play a part in the extra-curricular life of the school
  • Energy, stamina and a sense of humour
