Mayfield is looking for a well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic manager to lead this highly successful department and co-ordinate the working of Science disciplines throughout the School. Mayfield has an enviable reputation for Science, with every girl studying all three sciences to GCSE and a large majority studying Science and Maths successfully at A Level and beyond.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of inspirational teaching in his or her specialist subject (up to and including Oxbridge), will be able to manage a diverse team of academic and support staff and will have a dynamic, informed vision of Science in the curriculum. The ability to offer a second subject to GCSE is desirable. The Department is housed in a separate, purpose-built block with excellent resources.
