The role

We are looking to appoint an outstanding science teacher to cover the maternity leave of the existing postholder.

You will lead on all aspects of Science teaching, promoting interest in the subject across the full age range of the school. You will have specific responsibility for tracking the progress and attainment of students' who study the separate Sciences in Year 9, 10 or 11 - and to see this cohort through to the completion of KS4.

We will expect you to manage and develop a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for the subject area. There is the opportunity to make a big impact on standards of student attainment and achievement through your fresh ideas, motivational skills and keen focus on improvement.

The Candidate

We are seeking someone with a degree and a teaching qualification. You will need to draw on experience of raising educational standards in a leadership role (curriculum and/or pastoral experience is essential). You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm for your subject matter.
