About the post.

Established in 2000, The British School Al Rehab is one of the premier British curriculum schools in Cairo and has about 1000 students on roll aged between 3 and 17 years. It is divided into Primary and Secondary sections and the Head of each section operates autonomously and reports to the Director of Schools.

The secondary section has about 320 students in 3 forms of entry with 22 expatriate teachers along with 12 locally employed Arabic teachers and a Headteacher. The academic reputation of the secondary section is outstanding and year on year the students achieve superb results at GCSE and AS level. In 2014, the 5 or more A* to C rate was 91% and more significantly, the A* rate was 23% and the A* or A rate was almost 50%.

The school is one of 4 in the Talaat Mostafa Group of schools alongside The British School Madinaty, Madinaty Language School and Madinaty Integrated Languages School. The Heads meet regularly with the Director or the Senior Education Officer to monitor progress and solve problems.

The present incumbent is retiring and there is now a great opportunity to re shape and update an already very effective school.
