Barking and Dagenham's Children's Services Department is seeking to appoint a Head of Specialist Alternative Provision Service.
This is a high profile position within the local authority, with overall responsibility for ensuring that effective and engaging programmes of education, care and support are provided for pupils of secondary school age who have been excluded from school, are at risk of exclusion, are sick, have mental health needs or are receiving education through alternative provisions.
Applications are welcomed from professionals with appropriate senior management experience and an established track record of achieving successful outcomes for these priority groups of young people.
