Our services, traded or otherwise, support leadership, management and improved outcomes for children, young people, and educational settings across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
Primary Purpose: As a member of the Trust's Senior Management Team, reporting to the Director of SEN and Inclusion, the post holder will be responsible for the leadership, management and development of a large Specialist Teaching Service. The post holder will ensure that service is of the highest possible quality, delivered by exceptional staff and organised in a financially sustainable and quality assured way. The Head of Service will also work in close partnership with the School Improvement Service to ensure follow best practice and to ensure SEN is a key focus of the service.
The Specialist Teaching Service, divided into three teams; Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, and Sensory and Physical is well placed to continue to promote the successful progress of children and young people with SEND by working in partnership with schools, settings, parents and other agencies. The Head of Service will ensure integration between the teams and undertake operational responsibility for the management of a high quality Specialist Teaching Service delivered in a range of settings. The Head of Service will play a key role in the ongoing development, modernisation, expansion and continuous improvement of the service.
