Job overview

Transforming children's lives.
It starts with your leadership.

Do you believe that all children have the potential to achieve? So do we. It's a principle that has helped make Priory into the UK's leading independent provider of specialist education and care - and we are now looking for an inspirational Head Teacher to drive the performance of one our special needs schools.

Queenswood School, Ledbury

Queenswood School provides a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment for girls and boys aged 11 to 19 who live within our residential childcare facilities but who are unable to attend mainstream education because of their behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.

You will report to the Principal and use your leadership and management skills to implement, develop and continuously improve the school's curriculum and education programmes. This will include responsibility for all aspects of planning, assessment, tracking and educational target setting.

A fully qualified teacher with an appropriate postgraduate specialist qualification, you will have proven ability to work with children with special needs and a good understanding of relevant legislation and statutory regulations. You will also know how to work in partnership with support services, parents and the local community. Experience of managing teaching staff and classroom facilities is, of course, essential. This role comes with Teachers' Pensions and attractive rewards.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all our employees to share in this commitment.

Please call James Imber (Principal) on 01531 670 632 or email: jamesimber@priorygroup.com
