Our vision is to develop Aberdeen as a City for Learning, with public, voluntary and private sectors working together to provide a quality learning environment for all our citizens. Inclusion, raising achievement and lifelong learning lie at the heart of our plans, and professional and motivated teachers are crucial in providing high quality learning experiences for young people.

A unique and excellent leadership opportunity has arisen in the post of Head Teacher of Brimmond School, a flagship school in the City of Aberdeen.

Brimmond School was formed in 2013 following the amalgamation of Bucksburn and Newhills Schools in Aberdeen and is a member of the Bucksburn Associated Schools' Group which includes Kingswells and Stoneywood Schools, as well as Bucksburn Academy.

The school is scheduled to move to a brand new, state-of-the-art school building which will be the latest part of the Council's commitment to modernising the schools' estate. The new school building is due to open in August 2015 and will serve a population of approximately 400 pupils. There is provision for a double 40 place nursery, a base for pupils with additional support needs and the Vision Support Service.
