Head Teacher

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is currently seeking to recruit a primary Head Teacher with proven leadership qualities to manage schools which will provide an excellent education to children. This post is for a 'Shared Headship' where the Head Teacher will manage two rural schools in a designated area. Fluency in Gaelic is an essential requirement.

Our location of the Outer Hebrides is an area of exceptional natural beauty where there is a striking mix of pristine golden stands to wide open moorland and heather backed mountains. As the heartland of Gaelic language there is a rich and distinctive culture and heritage.

Distant Islands Allowance of £1,928 will be paid in addition to the salaries detailed above.

A generous relocation package will be available for the above post.
