Job overview
Develop our vision, build on our achievements
About the challenge
We need you to develop a clear vision for our large junior school. Sharing the same site as a good infant school, we are a school of choice, with 70 per cent of our pupils coming from out of catchment. You'll build on our achievements to ensure we achieve a good Ofted rating in our next inspection and inspire the high performing KS1 intake. You'll also face the challenges of a changing cohort.
About the role
Committed to maintaining the broad curriculum we provide at the school, including sports and music, you will lead a team including new recruits as well as established members of staff. It's a chance to work closely with happy and well behaved children that are eager to learn, an effective pastoral support team and a highly motivated, knowledgeable and supportive team of governors.
About the individual
We're looking for a dynamic and highly qualified teacher with the passion to move our school forward. You will also have considerable experience of successful teaching and leadership within a junior school setting.
Perhaps you're currently working as a head or a deputy in a large school with a diverse cohort. You will definitely have experience of curriculum development.
Please contact Dawn Dudley, Office Manager, on 01582 738810 for an informal visit and for more information on the school, please visit www.someriesjuniorschool.co.uk
