The Governors of North Leigh Church of England Primary School wish to appoint a Head Teacher from January 2015 or later. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner with excellent leadership skills who has the determination and experience to ensure the continued success of the school. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a strong, supportive and committed team, with a very proactive Governing Body and PTA.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A thorough understanding of what constitutes outstanding learning and teaching across the primary age range and the ability to demonstrate this in their own teaching and to support colleagues in developing these skills

  • A vision for school improvement and the energy and enthusiasm to be an outstanding role model
  • Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to work as part of a team
  • A proven track record of strong strategic leadership and the ability to use data and systems to analyse and drive improvement
  • The ability to work with all school stakeholders to build on the successes already achieved within the school
  • A good understanding of IT and how new developments can enhance learning and school systems
  • Experience of managing and controlling budgets
