Role: The Head Teacher of Broom Cottages Pupil Referral Unit 

Children and Adults Services, Durham County Council

The cross phase Pupil Referral Unit currently provides full time educational provision for approximately 120 children who have been permanently excluded from school.

The Management Committee is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic leader who possesses a clear vision and understanding of working with a range of vulnerable learners to maximise achievement and success into independence. This will involve reshaping the designation of the PRU to provide for a broader range of children with additional needs including those that are at risk of exclusion in Durham schools.
