Downton is a large and growing village renowned for its friendly and supportive school community. The school is currently single form entry and we have 183 pupils on roll.

Our hard-working and dedicated staff team ensures that pupils and parents benefit from great quality teaching and pastoral care, a commitment recognised with the school's first OFSTED 'Outstanding' assessment in March 2013. We play a leading role in the local primary cluster group and we pride ourselves in 'reaching out' to others.

With our successful and highly regarded Head Teacher moving on, we don't want to rest on our laurels. We are looking for a successor who can offer something new to the school and who can realise the full potential of the range of opportunities that being an 'outstanding' school offers.
