Marriott Primary School is an average sized primary school, which is at the heart of the community of Saffron Lane in Leicester providing education from years 3 to 11.

The School is a good one, which prides itself on its determination to remove any barriers to learning, supporting families in order to ensure that children achieve their best.

The School's aim is to ensure that every child not only makes very good progress but also enjoys their time in school.

The Governors of Marriott Primary School are seeking an innovative, inspirational and aspirational Headteacher to continue to raise standards and improve the School further.

You will be an exceptional practitioner, who is able to understand the skills required of an outstanding classroom teacher and disseminate innovative teaching and learning strategies throughout the School.

You will seek to provide high quality learning experiences and proactively encourage effective learning.

You will have substantial senior leadership experience (either as a Deputy Headteacher, Interim Headteacher or Headteacher) and evidence of exceptional people management and interpersonal skills in order to motivate, inspire and engage with all interested parties and the wider community in the quest to ensure all children achieve.

Your opportunity will be to:

  •  Support, lead and inspire pupils, staff, Governors and parents, providing a shared vision for improvement and clear direction for the school and the wider community
  •  Implement further strategies to improve and raise standards, achievement, and aspirations within a consistent, caring and inclusive ethos
  •  Develop further strategies to support and engage parents, improve attendance and extend the involvement of multi-agencies in removing barriers to learning
