• Can demonstrate exceptional leadership ability.
• Has a passion for excellence in teaching and learning and will continue the development of our high quality pedagogy, to sustain the continued development of standards and achievement.
• Will actively promote the safeguarding, inclusion and welfare of all students.
• Has a track record of effective change management and organizational ability
• Will work with an active and supportive governing body to set and implement the strategic direction for the academy.
• Will value and encourage the diversity of the school community, and will ensure we provide a broad and balanced education to meet their needs.
• Has experience of, and a vision for, developing partnerships to increase the impact of the school in a local and national context.

There is a strong ethos of teamwork and support throughout the school, as well as a commitment to continuous professional development. Canons has an application pending for Teaching School status as part of an alliance with Park High School, and local and national strategic partners.
