The Governors of this fully subscribed voluntary aided Catholic High School are looking to appoint a highly motivated practising Catholic leader to move the school from Special Measures to become good and then outstanding.

Applicants must have:

  • a proven track record of school improvement
  • flair and creativity and the ability to focus on teaching and learning, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • high expectations and personal skills that support and challenge all staff to share the commitment to re-create a culture of excellence and take the school back to become an outstanding school once again

The school has an interim Headteacher for the summer term with support from National Leaders in Education funded by the Local Authority. The judgement of the first HMI monitoring inspection was very positive as there have been many changes since the Ofsted Report was published in February 2014.

St Gregory’s Catholic High School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. It is located in Warrington, Cheshire, and has about 950 pupils. It is a voluntary aided school.
