Job overview

Headteacher, Birmingham

Are you an enthusiastic, caring and dynamic leader who would like to take on the headship of a boys' school that is rapidly improving and highly regarded?

We are looking for a leader to replace our headteacher, who is moving to the headship of Alcester Grammar School after four successful years in post. During that time the school has improved its results every year, and boys now achieve standards of attainment well above the national average for boys. Progress in Maths and English is in line with national boys, and we offer a broad curriculum that leads to good standards of progress across the range of subjects.

The school is popular in the local community because of its emphasis on aspiration, safety and high standards of behaviour. Staff morale is good and there is a culture of mutually supportive collaboration and professional development.

The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and personal attributes to:

  • Maintain the excellent levels of enthusiasm and effort amongst the staff
  • Maintain and further develop the impact of the senior and middle leadership teams
  • Ensure that behaviour remains good and the school stays calm and safe
  • Build on the many improvements of the past four years
  • Inspire, empower and coach staff to deliver best practice in every aspect of the school's work
  • Build great relationships with our boys and inspire them to do their best

Please visit our website for more details about the school. If you would like to take advantage of this excellent opportunity, download the application pack and apply now.
