Henry Fawcett is a school fast establishing itself as a stand-out learning centre, both within the borough of Lambeth and beyond. Our children are a diverse, enthusiastic and sociable mix of pupils, who work in an open and ambitious learning environment. Our staff, parents and governing body are committed to continuing improvement and high levels of achievement, through an inspiring curriculum, an inclusive in-school ethos and well-established links to the wider local community.

As the second most improved primary school in the country, we are seeking a headteacher who can help us continue to build on our current achievements, which include:

• Recent OFSTED rating of Good, with Outstanding behaviour;
• Above average Key Stage 2 results
• 2013 SATS results praised by the Minister of Education, who asked us to share our best practice with other schools.

Our school motto of 'Yes We Can' reflects our belief that all children attending the Primary School and Children's Centre have the potential to reach their full potential, whatever their ambitions.

To this end we are looking for someone who can demonstrate their commitment to our vision and:

• Act as a driving force for the school. We want someone who will build strong relationships within the school as well as representing Henry Fawcett externally to maintain and developing strong links with the local community
• Continue to improve raise the educational achievement for our pupils
• Lead by example with a proven track record of successful leadership at all levels
• Continue to improve the Henry Fawcett experience for pupils, teachers and all members of the school community
• Be inspired by the improvements and accomplishments of our school to date, with a demonstrable commitment to build these even further.
