Do you have the passion to make the difference in our school?

We want you if you have the determination and skills to lead our school in our journey to 'outstanding.' We are a school that currently Requires Improvement but is already moving towards Good. We are proud of the hard work that has already been undertaken to start this journey and the time is now right to appoint a current or aspiring Headteacher with the skills and ambition to lead us in meeting this challenge.

You will do this by hitting the ground running, continuing the drive to raise standards as a matter of urgency and by working proactively with other schools to promote collaboration. We will need to think creatively about how together we can meet future learning needs in our community.

Riverside is a school proud to be at the heart of its community. Located in the centre of Hebden Bridge, the Pennine town voted the 'fourth funkiest in the world' and the 'UK's town with the most local identity', the school benefits from a wealth of creative and diverse opportunities on its doorstep which provide a unique and dynamic offer for our children, alongside the enormous potential to extend learning by making the most of our extraordinary local landscape.
