Job overview

We are seeking an exceptional headteacher to work with governors to open Crystal Palace Primary School in September 2015 and lead it to become an outstanding local school.

The ethos of the school will be unashamedly one of high standards, both academic and personal. Its aim will be to provide a world-class education to local children, based on the development of positive character traits and a growth mindset.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity, in setting up the school from scratch, to develop the vision and ensure that it permeates everything the school offers. Candidates should be totally committed to enabling all children, regardless of background, to achieve as highly as possible, and have the skills, knowledge, understanding and personality to motivate staff and parents to work in partnership to achieve this.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are keen to appoint a headteacher to start in January or Easter 2015 and interviews will be held in our partner school, Chesterton School in Battersea. Interviews will be on 16th and 17th October 2014.

For further information about the post, please contact either Deborah Gostling (Lead Professional), on 07870 692710 or Margaret Peacock (Chair of Governors and recently retired head of outstanding school) on 07961362323.
