Headteacher (Designate)

Rugby Free Primary School is a proposed 4-11 free school which plans to open in the town in September 2015. NOR: Initially 60, reaching 420 by 2021.

We are looking for an inspirational Headteacher, starting April 2015, to work with a highly experienced proposer group to develop our vision for an excellent school.

Rugby Free Primary School will welcome children of all abilities and from all backgrounds. It will be non-selective, non-denominational and will be free to attend. It aims to provide a local school in an area where parents have become increasingly concerned about the lack of school places.

An experienced senior leader in the Primary phase, you are likely to currently be working in a Good or Outstanding school and will be able to evidence how you have contributed to raising standards with a similar intake to that of our proposed school. You will be able to interpret, develop and implement the Proposers' education vision and instill confidence in the parents that this new school is the right choice for their children.

You will be supported by a focused team of Proposers who have experience in opening a number of successful free schools and you will be given the autonomy to shape and build a new team. In return, you will be provided with a once in a career opportunity to specify, staff and lead a brand new school.
