This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented teaching head to join our well-supported school on our journey to the next level. Rated as 'Good' in 2010, the recent inspection in June 2014 judged that the school 'Requires Improvement'. We are in the process of rapid school improvement under the leadership of an experienced interim headteacher and are now looking for an inspirational and passionate leader to build upon this recovery plan and provide clear direction towards an outstanding future.

Rodmarton School is a small three-class primary school with big ideas set in an idyllic setting within a thriving village between Cirencester and Tetbury, in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is known for its commitment to academic and sporting achievement, as well as its superb pastoral care and friendly, nurturing environment.

The governors will offer you the support of a focused team of teachers, teaching assistants and parents, all of whom are looking for strong leadership from a headteacher to achieve excellence for our school. Our children are looking for a headteacher who: has a good sense of humour, understands children and can help them achieve their potential both individually and as a school community.
