The Governors of Cams Hill School are seeking an inspirational successor to our current Headteacher who will retire in August 2014 after fifteen years.

The forward-thinking Governing Body is looking for a new Headteacher who can build on a rich inheritance and tradition, develop an imaginative strategy for the future, and translate this vision into the practical steps that will take this outstanding school into the next phase of its development. It is a vibrant and exciting school where pupils and staff are happy and parents supportive.

We are looking for a strategic, creative and visionary leader who will:

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership ability.
  • Have a passion for excellence in teaching and learning and will continue the development of our high quality pedagogy.
  • Actively promote the safeguarding, inclusion and welfare of all pupils.
  • Have experience of, and a vision for, developing partnerships to build on the school's multi-agency links.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the issues faced by an outstanding school.
  • Work with governors, staff, pupils, parents and the wider community to set and implement the strategic future direction of the academy.

There is a strong ethos of teamwork and support throughout the school, as well as a commitment to self-improvement and continuous professional development.

Cams Hill School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. The market town of Fareham is situated at the edge of Portsmouth Harbour, between Portsmouth and Southampton. 

There are 1,048 children on Cams Hill School's roll. Originally established in 1958, the school converted to academy status in 2011. Its motto is "Inspire, Nurture, Achieve, Excel" and it is a specialist science college.
