Job overview
Following the retirement of our Headteacher the governing body is seeking to appoint an inspirational, creative and enthusiastic professional. Building on current successes, the new Headteacher will continue to develop the vision.
Honington is a friendly church school serving its local community, which includes villages, local towns and a large RAF base. Judged 'Good' at its last inspection (summer 2011), the school has many outstanding features. Standards are consistently on or above national averages.
You will need to demonstrate an ability to:
- build on the 'Good' Ofsted rating, moving us towards 'Outstanding'
- ensure pupils have a smooth transition to upper school
- integrate rural, town and military children.
The school became a 4-11 primary school in 2014 following a county school reorganisation.
There is a County Inclusive Resource unit on the site which works closely with the main school.
