The Governors of Ixworth CEVC Primary School invite applicants for the post of Headteacher following the recent resignation of the current Head to pursue a senior position leading teaching training.

We are a thriving, well respected and popular school in the beautiful village of Ixworth, 6 miles north of Bury St Edmunds. We are a forward thinking and forward moving school. Our latest Ofsted inspection rated the school as 'Good', and our SIAS inspection graded the school as 'Outstanding'. The progress continued with the achievement of the NACE 'Challenge Award' in July.

We are looking for a Headteacher to build upon this success and provide:

  • a passion for education and the ability to inspire children to reach their full potential
  • strong leadership and an ability to provide a clear strategic plan for the school's development
  • support and cultivate a team working approach throughout the school
  • an ability to promote and develop the school's Christian ethos.

You will be supported in the role by a strong and enthusiastic team encompassing staff and Governors.

Visits to the school are encouraged and are available by appointment. Please contact Teresa Snowling (School Business Manager) on (01359) 230228.
