Job overview

Finborough School is a thriving, ambitious co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2-18 years. The school is set in 40 acres on the outskirts of Stowmarket in Suffolk. Over the past 6 years there has been significant pupil growth and investment in the facilities.

This role is for someone who is forward thinking, innovative and able to articulate their vision in a way that inspires staff and pupils. You will report directly to the Proprietors, with extensive autonomy and the freedom to do something a little different. We take pride in being a successful business which has grown pupil numbers whilst still being selective. We have just opened a multi million pound sports hall and have a committed and loyal team of staff. Everything we do at Finborough is to enrich the lives of our pupils and to continue to provide the best preparation for life.

You will have significant leadership experience, ambition, drive and proven management skills in education alongside excellent communication skills. As the Head teacher you will have extensive autonomy in the running of the whole school and will be expected to lead by example inspiring our staff and pupils to achieve their fullest potential.

This is what one of our parents emailed recently, "We are overwhelmed by how amazing Finborough is. The proof for us is evident in both the children who now get up in the morning with such enthusiasm to start the day. Everything from the staff, the small class sizes, the lunch and the amazing sport, it's all solidifying our belief that we chose the best school for our children." "The performance this week was amazing. More interestingly was the student's attitude towards each other and the show. It was like a feel good movie. I cannot express how proud I was to be part of this school." "The girls have enjoyed every minute of school. It is fantastic to be able to drop your children off in an environment they can't wait to get to."

A generous salary and benefit package is available.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 30th October 2014 with interviews taking place on Friday 7th November 2014.
