About Boxgrove Primary School

Boxgrove is a co-educational school, part of GEP Academies, for children aged 4-11 years old and is situated on the east side of Guildford (between Burpham and Merrow). We are four years into an expansion from two forms of entry to three and currently have 570 children on roll.

In the past two years we have built a new building and converted to be an academy - it has been a busy time!  We are founder members of GEP Academies, together with George Abbot School and we are looking to further develop our role within this multi-academy trust.

The school has talented and committed staff and we are looking for an individual with the interpersonal skills and charisma to lead them.  At Boxgrove we want every child to achieve their potential; we strive for the very highest academic standards and offer a wide-range of creative and extra-curricular activities for all our children.  Inclusion and opportunity are at the heart of everything that we do as a school and it is essential that the person appointed shares our values.

AIMS AND VALUES

  • To convey to all children our high expectations of their behaviour and their academic achievement
  • To engender a positive atmosphere that ensures that all children feel cared for and secure
  • To encourage pupils to develop an understanding and awareness of personal, spiritual and moral values
  • To provide wide and enriching learning experiences within the school environment and the wider community enabling all children to work to their full potential in all spheres of achievement
  • To help all pupils to appreciate, respect and understand each other as individuals and to take personal responsibility for maintaining and caring for the school environment and our whole school community
  • To work together with parents to provide a partnership which supports the growing child
  • To help children to grow into individuals who will be committed to learning for the rest of their lives.
