An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Headteacher to lead Normanton Junior School forward on the next step of its journey. This will be with the help of the proposed partnership with Waterton Academy Trust, Wakefield's first Primary only Trust (Subject to DfE approval).
We require a leader with significant and successful experience at senior level and a team player who can motivate, challenge and lead others to improve teaching and learning.
The Interim Executive Board (IEB) are seeking a Headteacher who will:
- Lead and inspire the staff with their exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Have a clear strategic vision to drive improvement.
- Accelerate pupil progress.
- Promote outstanding teaching and learning and be a role model for staff and children.
- Work effectively with parents and the community.
- Develop all areas of school life to ensure the school is an exciting place for children.
- Assume a position of significant autonomy within the collaborative partnership with Waterton Academy Trust.
The IEB and the Trustees of Waterton Academy Trust are committed to supporting the professional development of all staff at Normanton Junior School.
