The children, staff and governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher to lead our highly regarded Christian school, following the retirement of our current Headteacher.

St Philip's is a Church of England Voluntary Aided primary school with 420 pupils and a two form entry from Foundation Stage to Year 6. It is set in a residential area. We have a thriving link club providing breakfast, after school and holiday care. Our friendly school is well supported by Governors who are regularly involved in school life.

We require someone who:

  • Is committed to excellence in all aspects of school life and is able to build upon past successes leading the future development of this school
  • Has evidence of working effectively and collaboratively in a team
  • Is a good role model for outstanding teaching

  • Is supportive of the arts and a cross curricular approach to learning
