Hackney Learning Trust is a department within Hackney Council that is responsible for Hackney's children's centres, 27,000 pupils in 75 schools and early years and adult education. Our vision is to provide excellent education for every child, young person and adult learner.

The Home Tuition Service is a statutory school support service that provides access to high quality suitable education for children and young people of compulsory school age who are unable to attend school for 15 days or more because of health needs, including mental health.

We are looking for a Home Tuition Service Coordinator who will be responsible for managing, monitoring and developing our current high quality service provision. You will lead on the development of relevant policy and strategy regarding home tuition, relating to DfE guidance and legislation. You will also provide professional advice and support to develop the capacity of local schools and settings to include children with health needs.

You will be responsible for the supervision and line management of our dedicated team of home tutors.

The ideal candidate will have proven success in teaching in mainstream/special in early years, primary or secondary settings in an inner city multicultural environment. You will have previous experience of working with families/carers of children with SEN, and be proficient in Policy and project development.
