An experienced, reliable, enthusiastic and energetic teacher is sought for the position of teacher of IB Math and pre IB Science for Novy PORG in Prague, a prestigious and growing bilingual school recently accredited with the IB.
The successful applicant will have:
- demonstrated a passion for the teaching
- a commitment to students' success
- at least two years experiences of Math and/or Science teaching at IB, IGCSE and KS3 level (preferably with experience of teaching towards international examinations)
- experience with IB Physics, Biology or Chemistry will be an advantage
- excellent teaching, interpersonal and presentational skills

About PORG
PORG group was founded in 1990 as the first non-state school in the Czech Republic after the end of the Communist Era. In September 2015 the school celebrated 25th anniversary. In 2008 campus Nový PORG was established as a bilingual school providing the IB Diploma Programme as well as third campus of PORG which was opened in 2011 in Ostrava.
All three schools have their own particular characteristics but they all attract some of the most academically gifted students in the country. This is demonstrated by the fact that that since the national standardisation of Maturita exams, PORG has ranked the first in the country every year.
All three schools provide an academically rigorous humanities and liberal arts education, and aspire to send students to the top universities in the world. In recent years more than 50% of graduates were enrolled abroad each year.

Students can complete the IB Diploma Programme or Czech national school leaving certificate (Maturita). PORG schools prepare students for universities both in the Czech Republic and worldwide. All three schools are part of the state school network and are recognized by the Czech Ministry of Education.
Students and staff
The vast majority of students are from Czech families and a minority come from bilingual families. Members of school faculty comes from the Czech Republic and from nearly 10 other countries.
Languages
Nový PORG is a bilingual school and English language is a part of a school curriculum from year 1. Students are regularly tested in the system of traditional Cambridge Examinations. The usually reach B1 level before the start of the study at grammar school, their language knowledge in Senior Programme is C1 – C2 (proficiency level).
Academic outcomes
Each year average of IB score of Nový PORG is over 38 points from the start of IB DP in our school. In 2019 was Nový PORG evaluated as the best IB school in continental Europe.
During last 4 years PORG has achieved the best score in the state Maturita exam of any school in the Czech Republic.
Graduates of the last 2 years have matriculated at the following colleges and universities:
Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford University, Brown University, LSE, Humboldt University, Imperial College, Kings College, Science Po and many others.
