About Ravenstone Primary School

Every child that steps through the gates of Ravenstone is welcomed into an aspirational, creative community. We focus on allowing children to flourish as confident individuals while building an understanding of the world around them and supporting children to reach their academic potential.

As a school we have developed a Curriculum Intent that focuses on allowing every child to experience a wide range of opportunities and lessons that develop ‘ourselves, each other and our future’.  High quality teaching in Reading, Writing and Mathematics  underpins everything that we do so that children get the best possible start to their education journey.

We care greatly about the success of our children and our staff. We do everything we can to provide our pupils with the skills set to challenge normality and become successful. Our curriculum is tailored towards the needs of the pupils and ranges from high quality dance and music lessons, to swimming and Italian. We also have a mastery approach to our core subjects, and a PSHE scheme that teaches our pupils to be safe and add to the world that they are growing up in.

We work closely with parents as we believe that educating your child is a joint effort between home and school. We will involve you fully in what your child is studying, how they are performing and targets for further progress. We constantly strive to improve and introduce initiatives that will inspire every pupil to become the very best they can be.

The Ravenstone entitlement is an offer to every child in the  school, which includes at least one external trip, one inspirational  internal visit and a curriculum-themed day every term.

Ravenstone is an inclusive school and we are determined that all pupils, of all abilities, get the high quality of education they deserve.  As well as ensuring inclusive provision within each of our classrooms, we offer places for up to 16 children on the autistic spectrum in our specialist hub, The Hive.
