Job overview

We are seeking to appoint 3 talented, creative and innovative thinkers to our staff team who can be instrumental in furthering our excellent work in an academic/pastoral curriculum which is recognised as resulting in Outstanding student achievement (OFSTED 2012 & 2013). They will join departments that have a great depth of skill and ability in delivering quality learning outcomes to students with SEN.

The successful candidates should have a clear understanding about effective teaching, raising and sustaining achievement and the support required for complex young students. They should be good communicators and should be able to engage effectively with children and young adults on a daily basis. We also believe that the ability to excite, inspire and enthuse students is essential and look to appoint staff with dynamic characteristics that can raise the ceiling on student learning outcomes.

We are looking for quality individuals willing to work hard in our happy and professional team of staff to further develop Bradfields as a well-known and respected Specialist SEN Academy. The positions arise due to the retirement of quality teachers after long and loyal service. The academy would welcome interest from both NQTs or experienced teachers. Individualised professional support and induction; including accessing further professional qualifications will be available. The academy has a proven track record in supporting successful personal and professional development and would encourage interest from teachers in mainstream and special schools/academies.

Bradfields is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Any offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and enhanced criminal record checks via the DBS/CRB (for Children & Vulnerable Adults).

We are an equal opportunities employer.

Bradfields Academy is an innovative and forward-looking specialist SEND provision which provides education for students who experience a co-morbidity of complex learning disabilities and difficulties [CLDD] including speech, language, emotional, sensory, physical and autistic spectrum disabilities. It aims to be a leading centre of excellence in the Special Education Sector where students can thrive and fully develop their cognitive, social and emotional skills in order to take a full, active and responsible role in their local community and beyond as Global Citizens and Ambassadors for students with disabilities.

Our educational programme, which is cited as being excellent, has resulted in year-on-year improvements in exam passes and rates of progress that warranted OFSTED outstanding judgements for achievement [2022 and 2017]. Our pastoral programme is extensive and impacts student well-being, resilience and self-esteem.
