International Residential Tuition Positions

Provisional start date: Flexible, starting between January and March 2015.

Contract type: Full time. 12 months initially with the possibility of extending.

Role: After-school support or homeschooling tutor required for a full-time residential role with a British family in Dubai, UAE. The tutor will work with two brothers, 8- and 9-years old, and possibly a younger sister. They will teach English, Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. A rich and challenging curriculum will be created by the tutor, which both develops the students' interests and guides them towards future international and British educational pathways. The role is immersive, requiring regular and close contact with the family, including accompanying the family on days out and providing school transport and extracurricular activities.

Requirements: Candidates will have an excellent academic record, with a first class degree (or high 2.1) from a leading university, and a high level of competence in all key subjects. They will have demonstrable tutoring and homeschooling experience, preferably in international and residential placements. As the tutor will travel with the family, they will require a full driving license and flexibility in working in different locations under different conditions.

Accommodation: The tutors will be provided with their own apartment. There will be a generous holiday entitlement, provided as per the requirements of the family with a minimum of one flight home per year, financed by the family.

Hours: Full-time hours, with a 40-hour working week. The tutor will work a regular school day or will work outside of school hours, depending on the role. There will typically be two consecutive days off per week.
