  • Ability to use modern technologies -required, experience with interactive techniques - strongly preferred
  • Experience of cross-cultural communication, cooperation is a strong plus
  • Experience with enquiry based constructive programs (i.e. learn-by-experience and facilitate-rather-then-command teaching techniques)
  • A proven ability to teach by following children's own interests and desires (i.e. personal play-based and follow-the-child teaching techniques)
  • Some experience of Russian/Ukrainian travel and or language would be advantageous

A successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • A teaching credential or degree in education
  • A minimum 2 years' experience in Pre-Elementary and Elementary School classroom setting

Contract information:

Contracts are initially for two years renewable on a basis by mutual agreement.

The salary range for full time teachers is considered generous for Ukraine and will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.

ABOUT GIS

GIS is an educational community providing high quality education of an international standard. We are a bi-lingual school committed to offering all of our students a learning experience with a truly global perspective. The languages of instruction are Russian and English.

The GIS curriculum, developed by a team of experts from the International Education Agency is based on the best practices of international education and of Ukraine, largely inspired by the programs of European schools and the Swiss educational system.

We will open in September 2014 with around 250 students ages 3-13 and over the next five years expand to around 650 students aged from 3 to 18.

GIS prepares students for Ukrainian exams and international exams (IGCSE, A-level).

Our new purpose built building is constructed in accordance with the highest European standards using energy-saving technologies.

GIS will be licensed by the Ukrainian Government and is GIS is a candidate for accreditation by The International Education Agency.
