Kitchen Assistant (post 2)

20 hours per week Term time +1

The Fred Nicholson School is a mixed day/residential school with 124 pupils on roll aged 7-16, who have complex needs with associated emotional and behavioral problems.

The school is looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join the existing team. This post is for the tea time service and the working hours 1.30pm 6.30pm (Monday to Thursday)

The successful applicants will be expected to undertake preparation and cooking tasks associated with the routines in our school kitchen, under the direction of the Lead Cook.

The post holders will also be expected to assist in all other areas of the schools kitchen and dining room as required. These duties will include the routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment following the kitchen maintenance plan.

Experience of working in school kitchen/catering establishment is desirable but not essential.
