Exciting Teaching opportunity at Old Hall Drive Primary School - to cover KS2 ppa/release time for subject leaders (not class based)

Cover Teacher for Key Stage 2, 0.8fte (4 days per week) - Fixed term contract until 31st August 2015

Old Hall Drive is situated in South Gorton in East Manchester - We have celebrated our 100th birthday this year. The school serves a rich and diverse community close to Sunny Brow and Debdale parks.

The school currently has a role of 460 pupils from a range of backgrounds and we currently have 33 different languages spoken within the school. We have 36% of our school population who speak English as an additional language and 62% of our pupils come from a minority ethnic group.

We provide excellent opportunities for all of our pupils through investment in new technology, ensuring every class has an educational visit every half term and providing exciting and motivating lessons to engage our pupils.

We have a strong staff team and phase leaders are non class based to provide support and guidance to the staff within their phase.

Our vision for Old Hall Drive is clear; we believe that our children must have the best possible education in order to improve their life chances. Therefore, we are absolutely determined and relentless in our efforts to raise standards.

Old Hall Drive Academy is a 3-11 primary school located in East Manchester and is one of three academies within the Wise Owl Trust. Our academy is driven to breaking down barriers and providing our pupils with the tools needed to face challenges in learning and life. Our motto of ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’ is fundamental to our everyday practice in our school.
