We are looking for a qualified and appropriately experienced teacher to join our specialist education support team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within Somerset's Education Support Services. This post will provide the opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and experience to provide specialist advisory support. You will be working through a period of change and innovation, and be responsible for ensuring that service delivery is quality assured.

Qualification as a teacher and successful relevant experience of teaching within mainstream and special schools, children and young people who have a physical impairment and/or medical support requirement, are essential.

You will advise schools, early years and FE settings on the development of appropriate provision for learners as well as delivering specific assessment and training to support curriculum initiatives and successful interventions, and to support the development of skills and knowledge in school staff.

You will have a caseload of learners with whom you will work directly across the age range 0-25. You will be responsible for effective and individualised specialist support to the family, school and learner in order to ensure positive educational outcomes.
