Job overview

Having earned a reputation for practical innovation and for our commitment to unlocking the potential of every pupil at every stage in their education, we are now preparing to embark on the next phase of our development here at Crayford Academy as we begin Post 16 entry in September 2015. In this role you will be instrumental in preparing the English department, working to maximise A Level uptake in 2015.

English at HACA is a dynamic and vibrant subject at the heart of the high quality education we provide to our pupils. With our first cohort sitting their public examinations in 2015, an outstanding 89% of our borderline pupils have already achieved A-C in GCSE English. We are anticipating similar levels of progress and attainment from the whole cohort next summer. Due to a maternity cover, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to help lead this team through to GCSE success. At KS3 our pupils are attaining levels significantly above the national average, enhanced by our thriving enrichment programme. We are seeking to recruit an individual who shares our expectations for accelerated progress and high attainment.

If you are interested in being part of the leadership of this thriving department as we develop the new curriculum across all key stages, we look forward to receiving your application and meeting you.

Please apply online via our website www.haaf.org.uk/vacancies3 or contact Susan Louch on 01322 402180 ext. 5725 or email: s.louch@haaf.org.uk for a paper application.

Closing date: Monday 13th October.
Interviews: Thursday 16th October.
